The beauty of Bushu Authentic Indigo dye meets the skilled hands of our workshop in Kumamoto.
The aizome-dyed fabric used in this hakama is authentically dyed by Kojima Senshoku of Bushū, Saitama. With a relationship built on nearly 90 years of trust, we carefully select a deep, dignified indigo hue perfectly suited for kendo.
Due to limited production, this hakama was once available only to select customers. However, after Ōhori High School Kendo Club won the national championship, and Fukuoka Prefecture’s Boys’ Division at the National Sports Festival, its reputation spread widely. We have since expanded production to meet growing demand.
Created for competition, this hakama is designed for stability, durability, and performance in real matches. The natural firmness of cotton ensures a stable fit at the waist, while stitched outer pleats maintain a consistently clean silhouette. Each piece is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans at our Kumamoto workshop. As a result, if the item is out of stock, delivery may require additional production time.
This is a purely Japanese, aizome-dyed hakama, created for shiais.
