A normal Shinai can absorbs the impacts when striking due to Bamboo's flexibility and also because it dissipates the after shocks across the 4 separated slats.

Tecno-Shinai is the result of an strengthening technology, a process where the Bamboo fibers are strengthened but not hardened, so it gain even more flexibility than normal Bamboo.

- Durability improved.
10 tecno-Shinai were on trial against 20 normal Shinai during 6 months, and not a single tecno-Shinai broke, not even produced any splinter, and also they didn't dry out as the normal Shinai did.
- Can be stored and preserved in good shape longer.
Tecno-Shinai don't dry as fast as normal Shinai even in winter.
- Splinters are less common, and when they appear are less abundant than normal Shinai.
It can bend more than a normal Shinai without breaking, yet it has not the rough shaking feeling of a Carbon-Shinai.
- More Strong yet more Flexible
