ZEN -GIHOSAKU- (義峰作) is a 100% Made in Japan traditional hakama with the precise skills of our craftsman.

The Gihosaku pattern uses firm, durable fabric.

#8000 Cotton: Medium-weight fabric with a lighter feel, faster drying, and greater mobility. Ideal for regular training and daily practice.

#10000 Cotton: Mid-to-heavyweight fabric with a balanced feel, offering good durability, a firm drape, and comfortable mobility.
This Hakama fits firmly in the waist and does not disappoint when used during rank and promotional examinations.

Women’s custom tailoring is available at no additional cost. 
Special body type custom orders are also available for an additional fee.

The hakama is pre-washed and pre-shrunk by soaking the fabric in hot water before tailoring or sale. This helps minimize future shrinkage and color fading while tightening the fabric for better shape retention and making the hakama easier to wear and wash immediately after purchase.

*Care instructions: Hand wash only, in clean cold water.

*Please note - This product is dyed using genuine Japanese Aizome, and the colour will leak/stain objects, and the wearer. It is recommended that the product is washed by hand, to remove as much excess dye as possible before use. 100% Cotton, may shrink slightly after washing.

IMPORTANT: The ZEN series uniforms are depending on sizes MADE TO ORDER and no corners are cut in their production. As each garment is made dillegently in Japan, and due to the massive popularity of the ZEN brand, production can take 4 to 6 weeks.
