This CHO HAKAMA - #8000 COTTON fabric is specially crafted for Shinsa (examination) by Bushu Kanabashi, with high-quality fabric that resists shape loss. It is dyed with traditional indigo and features a patented taper string method for improved stiffness and ease of tying. This custom-made item takes up to one month to create and is worth the wait. We have partnered with Bushu Kojima Dyeing and Weaving factory, established in the 5th year of Meiji, to craft a lightweight cotton hakama with carefully sewn-in machine pleats. It has been designed for examination and is sure to impress. We strive to preserve over 140 years of culture while creating a new tradition for the future.
